For the 2020 Democratic Debates in Charleston, South Carolina, Twitter partnered with CBS News to capture on-the-ground social content featuring then presidential candidates. Published by @TwitterGov utilizing #DemDebates, we engaged five of the participating candidates in a series of conversational style questions ranging from what inspires them to campaign fun facts. This campaign gave our Twitter audience a refreshing glimpse into a more casual side of the candidates and drove even more conversation around an already buzzworthy impending election.
